Applications are now being accepted from trade and tourism organizations for the “Best Landscaped Territory” competition

On the professional holiday of trade workers, which is celebrated on July 26 this year, the results of the traditional city competition for the best territory adjacent to trade, public catering, consumer services and tourism organizations will be summed up in Veliky Novgorod.

"This competition is held to increase the attractiveness of the so-called entrance groups to enterprises and organizations of trade and tourism, as well as to improve the appearance of the city, - says Deputy Chairman of the City Committee for Economic Development and Investments - Head of the Trade Department Natalia VOTINTSEVA. - Judging by the calls we receive about participation in this competition, it is becoming more and more popular. It is well known that the appearance of this or that establishment affects the flow of visitors, buyers, consumers of services, and additionally attracts tourists. But this is also the attitude of business to its city. You can see how entrance groups, shop windows, flower arrangements change - representatives of the trade business, the service sector strive to interestingly design approaches to their organizations, show imagination, find original solutions. For our part, we welcome this and note the most successful initiatives."

This year the competition will be held in the following nominations: "Best landscaped area among trade organizations selling food products"; "Best landscaped area among trade organizations selling non-food products"; "Best landscaped area among catering organizations (restaurants)"; "Best landscaped area among catering organizations (cafes)"; "Best landscaped area among consumer services organizations"; "Showcase - the business card of the organization"; "Best landscaped area among tourism organizations".

Legal entities regardless of their organizational and legal form, individual entrepreneurs, and individuals applying the special tax regime “Tax on Professional Income” operating in the fields of trade, public catering, consumer services, and tourism may participate in the competition.

Applications for participation are accepted at the Trade Department of the Committee for Economic Development and Investment of the Veliky Novgorod Administration at the following address: Desyatinnaya St., Bldg. 20/10, Office 322. Applications for the competition can be made up to and including July 16, 2025, after which the competition committee will begin inspecting the territories and determine the winners. The winners will be named and awarded diplomas and commemorative statuettes at a city festival in honor of workers in trade and services.

The organizer of the competition is the Committee for Economic Development and Investment of the Veliky Novgorod Administration.

Meanwhile, another city competition for the most well-maintained territory of courtyards and areas adjacent to institutions and organizations, which is being held by the committee for the management of urban and road facilities, is continuing.
